Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through KandaNews Africa, operated by Thirdsan Enterprises Ltd. It covers both reader subscriptions and advertising campaigns booked through ads.kandanews.africa. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase.
1. Reader Subscriptions
KandaNews reader subscriptions (daily, weekly, monthly) are processed through Flutterwave or DPO Pay and grant immediate access to digital content.
- Daily plans: Non-refundable once the edition for that day has been accessed.
- Weekly & Monthly plans: You may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase if you have not yet accessed more than one edition during the billing period. Contact us at hello@kandanews.africa with your phone number and payment reference.
- Technical failure: If a technical error on our side prevents you from accessing content you paid for, we will issue a full refund or credit. Report the issue within 7 days of the incident.
2. Advertising Campaigns
Advertising bookings are subject to the following refund terms:
- Cancellation before approval: If you cancel your campaign booking before it has been reviewed and approved by our team, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Cancellation after approval but before go-live: You may receive a 50% refund if the campaign has been approved but has not yet gone live in an edition.
- Cancellation after go-live: No refund is available once a campaign has been published in one or more editions. You may, however, request an early pause or modification of future placements — subject to availability.
- Creative rejection: If your creative materials are rejected for violating our Advertising Policy and you choose not to resubmit, a full refund will be issued.
3. How to Request a Refund

Include your full name, registered email or phone, payment reference number, and the reason for your refund request. Our team will respond within 2 business days.
4. Processing Times
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your payment provider:
- Mobile money (MTN, Airtel, M-Pesa, etc.): 1–3 business days
- Card payments (Visa, Mastercard): 5–10 business days
- Bank transfer: 3–7 business days
KandaNews Africa is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Promotional or discounted subscription plans
- Gifted or transferred subscription credits
- Advertising campaigns that have fully run their course
- Any plan where the content has been fully consumed or accessed
6. Changes to This Policy
KandaNews Africa reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
