Join the KandaNews University Campus Network
KandaNews Africa is building a new generation of campus media leaders across Uganda.
We are inviting university students who are passionate about information, journalism, storytelling, innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, student opportunities, African development and Pan-African ideas to apply to join the KandaNews Campus Team at their university.
Each participating university will initially have a five-member Campus Team responsible for helping shape the university edition, identifying relevant stories and opportunities, building student engagement and growing the KandaNews community on campus.

Coordinates the university Campus Team and serves as the principal KandaNews Campus representative.
Helps identify meaningful stories, opportunities and conversations from the university community. Contributions go through KandaNews editorial processes.
Helps grow awareness, readership and participation in KandaNews within the university.
Builds relationships between the KandaNews Campus Team and relevant campus communities.
Supports the visual and multimedia side of campus storytelling.
We are looking for current university students with curiosity, initiative, integrity, strong communication and a desire to contribute to their university community.
Applicants may have interests in journalism, media, communication, leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, design, photography, business, innovation, student affairs, African development or Pan-African ideas.
You do not have to be a journalism student. Previous journalism, media or leadership experience is an advantage but is not a requirement.
We are particularly interested in students who believe information can do more than report events — it can equip people, shape thinking and inspire a generation to build a better Africa.

The KandaNews Campus Team is a student leadership and campus media programme — it is not salaried employment. The specific terms of participation, including any recognition or support, are confirmed in writing when Campus Team members are appointed.
Participation in the KandaNews network does not guarantee publication. All editorial content remains subject to KandaNews editorial review and standards.
Universities, Deans of Students, Student Affairs offices and Guild leadership are welcome to share this page with students. Institutions do not need to collect CVs or nominate students — every student applies directly online, and institutions may encourage or recommend suitable students.
